No. HearFrames are developed to work for Americans that suffer from mild to moderate hearing loss. Anyone with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss can order them without a hearing test or audiologist visit.
Do I need a prescription before purchasing?
No. There is no prescription needed. Anyone with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss can order HearFrames, as long as they are at least 18 years old.
You will need to input your vision prescription if you need prescription lenses.
What if it doesn't work for me?

Can people tell I'm wearing a hearing aid?
No. HearFrames look exactly like a regular pair of glasses. The hearing technology is built entirely into the frame — there is no device in your ear, no wire, and nothing that would identify them as a hearing aid to anyone looking at you.
Does anything go in my ear canal?
